Right in the centre of the Samburu Game Reserve you will find Samburu Serena Safari Lodge, a semi-arid, open savannah plain broken by small rugged hills in Kenya's Nothern Province.
Samburu Game Reserve is renowned for a range of rare game - Reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, the long-necked gerenuk and the Beisa oryx, not to mention the over hundred species of birds, including the Somali ostrich. This lodge is rustic, yet sophisticated, situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River with its crocodiles and leopards. Making full use of the native material and artwork, bleading in perfectly with the environment, all guests rooms are located in wooden thatched cottages surrounded by lush gardens. Each cottage has a private verandah overlooking the river so that the crocodiles can be seen feeding.
