Camp Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve. The Xakanaxa area is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana. Twenty-two guests are accommodated in East African-style safari tents. The tents are set on raised teak platforms under a canopy of trees and are placed well apart from each other thus ensuring guest privacy. Each tent is comfortably furnished with an African teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional director's chairs. Colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. His and hers towel robes as well as tea and coffee making facilities are also provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A bathroom with shower, washbasin and w.c. is situated on the platform adjacent to the tent. Shaded by giant ebony trees, the Moremi Tree Lodge is an elegant elevated thatch and timber structure consisting of a lounge, dining room, cocktail bar and wildlife reference library. The large sun deck affords an unsurpassed view of Xakanaxa Lagoon. A plunge pool with timber deck, covered boma and elevated observation platform assures Camp Moremi of its status as one of Botswana's most popular safari lodges. Safari activities include tracking big game on morning and afternoon game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicle, excellent bird watching and exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by powerboat.

Xugana Lagoon is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, which in the midst of the Kalahari sands, is Africa's largest and most awe-inspiring oasis. Xugana Island Lodge accommodates just 16 guests in reed and thatch lagoon-facing en-suite chalets with private viewing decks. The open-sided thatched lounge, bar and dining areas are set back under the ebony and African Mangosteen tree canopy. The swimming pool, located within the mature gardens in the centre of the island, is a perfect place to relax. Xugana Island Lodge’s boma and al fresco dining area overlook the Xugana Lagoon’s expanse of pristine water of this unique delta. Exploring the Delta by motorboat or canoe (mokoro), combined with walking on surrounding islands in the concession, gives guests the chance to experience a classic Okavango Delta safari. Day 05 - Day 07

Spend two nights at Savute Safari Lodge in a standard suite with en-suite bathroom on a full board basis, including scheduled game viewing activities, park fees, local brand drinks and laundry.

In the heart of Chobe National Park lies a dynamic wilderness, a sweeping expanse of savannah brooded over by seven rocky outcrops that guard a relic marsh and the dry channel that was once its lifeline. Savute Safari Lodge is situated on the banks of the Savute channel, part of the Savute eco-system, renowned for its large concentrations of elephant and lion prides. Peering out from ancient Camelthorn trees are 12 luxury suites built out of wood, thatch and glass. The unique design of the suites, with their spacious interiors, clean lines, glass sliding doors and bright contemporary furnishings sets the lodge apart from typical safari accommodation. Each suite is stylishly furnished with overhead fan, dressing table, writing desk, hairdryer, en suite shower, hand basin, and w.c. and large private viewing deck offering a great view of the surrounding bush. The lounge, library and bar are situated in the thatch and timber main building, where an upstairs viewing deck is the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner and admire Savute’s enchanting sunsets as wild dogs hunt in the channel where crocodiles once swam. A large fireplace downstairs is equally inviting on winter nights. Brunch and dinner are usually served on the covered wooden deck overlooking the channel where game comes down to the floodlit waterhole to quench their thirst. In addition there is a swimming pool and fireplace on a raised teak deck also overlooking the channel. Dry season game viewing concentrates on Savute’s resident bull elephants, antelope and lion pride that frequent the half empty pans and permanent waterholes. Black-backed jackal, bat eared foxes, tsessebe, kudu, impala and ostrich abound. The summer rains bring a feast for lion, hyena and cheetah as thousands of migrating zebra and wildebeest assemble in a chaotic pattern on the marsh. The rains also welcome thousands of migrant birds that swell Savute’s existing 300 species. Spurwing geese, knob-billed ducks and lesser moorhens paddle in the rain-filled pans. During the course of a game drive your guide will escort you up Bushman Paintings Hill where early man recorded his wildlife sightings on the rocks.

Day 07

Transfer by light aircraft from Savute Safari Lodge to Kasane Airport. The flying time is approximately 60 minutes.

On arrival at Kasane Airport, you will be met for your shared road transfer to Chobe Game Lodge or road and boat transfer to Chobe Savanna Lodge.
